VINTAGE DIVISION
PATRIOTS-
Back to Back Champion TSBGOD once again looks like the team to beat this year in
CTL, one could argue this is the Patriots best team they ever have had but not
as balanced as years past, they are stacked on offense and do not even have
close to the defense they have had in prior years. On offense it's like a Pro
Bowl squad with the new additions of Steve Young(63PS,69PC) and newly drafted #1
pick Marshall faulk(50RS,56MS). Wr's are all solid with the minumum RECS are 56.
The only weakness I see is the speed of their DB's , only 1 DB is 56 ms and the
rest are 44 or 50 MS. Only time will tell but this team looks to go for a 3
PEAT!

BRONCOS-
ERROL77777 is coming into his first season in CTL but is a veteran to the world
of Tecmo and is a very solid player. He made a few trades in the offseason to
get his feet wet. He now has Dan Marino(63/63) and Tim Brown(63/63) on offense
to drive his attack along with a few other decent WR's but has a RB also with 56
RECS and 38 MS. On defense the Broncos will struggle, their DL and LB crew are
very poor and although they do have a strong DB in McDaniel(50MS,75INT), the
rest of the crew are very average. I see this VET grinding his way through the
season and perhaps a playoff run near the end. (7-6)
PACKERS-
KABERGER has a great offense this season, he is led by Pro Bowl type QB Brett
Favre(19 MS, 63 PS, 56 PC) and WR Sterling sharpe(56 MS, 69 REC) along with a
few other WR's with 56 RECS. The huge problem will be with their RB position, It
seems like the Pack did not get it done in Draft or FA to fill this gap. They
will have to start the season with 38 MS RB Edgar Bennett and hope he can
produce something to have a chance this season. OL should help since he has 3/
69 HP OL .On defensive side of ball this teams is pretty AVG if not a little
below. He has 1 /75 HP DL, 1/50 MS LB and 4 DB's with 50 or 56 MS speed but
their top INT guy has only 50 INT which could mean big trouble when going
against the top passing teams in their division let alone the rest of the
league.

SAINTS-
DISCDOLO is a fairly new player that is coming into CTL for the first time but
is very solid skillwise. Only problem is that he no doubt inherited the worst
team in CTL.He relayed to me there will be a lot of work ahead to get this team
in competitve shape. He will struggle tremedously to keep his sanity throughout
this whole season. What I mean by that is look what he has to flourish with, a
38 PC QB, a 38 MS RB, only 1 WR with 50 RECS and an awful OL. Now for the
DEFENSE! DL and LB crew are pathetic and the DB's lack speed and INT's. I see a
long season but he will surprise and manage some wins.(4-9)
LIONS-
JSHAW5542 will field a pretty good team on offense this year and the next, he
made a blockbuster trade that sent QB Jeff George(56,56) , RB Natrone
Means(50MS,56MS) and a 50 MS LB to the Oilers
in exchange for QB Troy Aikman(50PS,63PC) , RB Rodney Hampton(50RS,50MS),56 MS
LB and a 2nd rd pick.His only problem will be at his WR position IMO, he has
only 1 WR that has more than 50 RECS. On defense he has an he has an average DL
and secondary, his main asset will be his LB crew which is made up of 2 /50 MS
and 1/56 MS guys with good HP, this should help on run defense but the pass
coverage will suffer especially in his current division. Should be an
interesting season but likely a long and frustrating one. (4-9)TRADITIONAL DIVISION
BENGALS-
LORDSUMMERISLE64 is a great skilled owner and a dedicated GM who came within one
game of the Super Bowl last season and looks to be on the same path again. On
offense he has the great Emmitt Smith(56RS,56MS) and WR's Graham and Williams
with both 56 RECS, the only question on this side of the ball is will QB Dave
Brown(50PS,50PC) be adequate enough to lead this team to the promise land and do
what no other 50 PC QB has done and win a SB in CTL. On defense this team has
got a solid bunch, their DL is anchored by Charles Haley(50MS,69HP) . They also
have a 50 MS and a 56 MS LB along with DB's that are pretty solid. Like I said
previously, the only thing I see of holding this team back to returning to the
Conference championship and beyond is the QB play FROM Brown.(10-3)
CHARGERS-
VOGTCD11 whose first season in CTL was a very productive one with having the
league's top rushing RB in Jerome Bettis with over 1400 yards and 16 TD's. He is
coming into this season with more expectations than his 6-7 record of last year.
Along with Bettis(50RS,50MS) on offense he has a great QB in Jim
Kelly(56PS,63PC). The weakness lies in the WR's skill level, they only have 1 WR
with 56 RECs and that guy has only 44 MS, look for these Chargers to pound the
rock all day with Bettis to have any shot of making playoffs. On the defense
they have poor DL and LB guys and only have one good DB in Ray
Buchanon(44MS,75INT) but lacks speed. Although they have great players at the QB
and RB position I still think it's not enough to get this team to the playoffs
in the toughest division in CTL. (5-8)
BROWNS-
BIGFATPAULIE4 is a 1st time owner in CTL but has good skill and is probably one
of the best GM's in Tecmo today, he takes a lot of pride in building a team to
win it all. On offense this team is average, although he has talented QB Warren
Moon(63PS,56PC) he is lacking at the RB and WR positions. RB Johnny Johnson is
44 MS and their WR's are 56,50,50 with only one that has MS over 50. On the
defense side he has an unbelievable GROUP. DL is average but great LB's , they
have 3 guys with 50 MS speed. In the secondary is WHERE the DANGER begins! He is
anchored by safety Darren Perry(56MS,75INT) and CB Aeneas Williams(56MS,75INT)
along with 2other guys that are real strong. This will be a complete nightmare
for teams looking to pass on the!
I see this team going to playoffs and making a good run.

EAGLES-
MIKEYSCULL looks to make another playoff push this season in CTL, he had a
strong 1993 season but it got cut short in playoffs by the Bengals. The offense
he brings this season is very strong and looks like this: He has a two headed
monster in QB's Cunningham(19MS,56PS,44 PC) and Hostetler(56PS,50PC) and newly
acquried 8.3 MIL RB Terry Allen(44RS,50MS). His WR's are strong with the leader
of the pack Terrance Mathis(63MS,69PC) and all his other WR's are all 56 RECS.
On the defensive side his DL is avg but makes up for that with his LB's which he
has the William twins who are both 56 MS. Secondary has not one superstar but is
made up of good speed and solid INT's. This team looks ready to make the next
step and contend for a Super Bowl title. (9-4)
STEELERS-
BIGFLU112 who made the Conf Championship 2 seasons ago had a let down season by
going 7-6 and not making playoffs. This season they look to rebound! In free
agency they picked up a nice addition in QB Vinny Testaverde (50PS,50PC) and
also made a trade that got him a 44 MS RB which is hard to come by nowadays. His
WR's are AVG at best so this might be anothe rlong season in the making for the
Steel curtain. On defense they have very good team speed but not much HP or
INT's, this will be a problem facing the skillful owners in his conference.(5-8)HISTORIC DIVISION
GIANTS-
EIFERSUCHT who was 15-0 going into the Super Bowl last season but got blown out
by the mighty Patriots. Wierd how the opposite thing happened in real LIFE!
Ok......Eifer is never that busy in the off-season which didnt seem to hurt his
team at all last season but I think this year it will take its toll. On offense
he did manage to grab Jim Everett(63PS,63PC) in Free agency which he will play a
major role if the team wants to get back to the Super Bowl. Also, the offense
has a 44 MS RB and 3 WR's 63,56,50 RECS to handle the load..This team has the
worst OL in the league. On defense this team will struggle, not much speed,HP or
INT's at all. If this team is gonig to do anything, he will have to outscore
every opponent , this is likely to happen regular season but not in the
playoffs. Giants(9-4)
COLTS-
SOWA1291 comes into this season IMO as one of the most improved teams, his
offense consists of Joe Montana(56PS,56PC), RB Thurman Thomas(50RS,50MS) and WR
Andre Reed(63MS,69RECS) to carry the load along with 2 other wideouts that have
56 RECS and 50 RECS. On defense his DL is AVG but his LB's will make up for that
by having 2/56 MS LB's. The secondary is also solid with anchor and stud Eric
Turner(56MS,69HP,75INTS) and the othe r3 are pretty good as well. I see this
team having a great chance of doing big things this year if everyone goes as
planned. (9-4)
DOLPHINS-LILLEFTY021
brings his running game and turbo tapping fingers to CTL for his first season.
Obviously this team fits right into his plan having a RB Chris Warren that has
63 MS speed. His WR's are 63,50,50 RECS which is pretty adequate. Now lays the
HUGE problem for this rookie in CTL, his QB is Chris Miller(44PS,44PC) which in
laymans terms means Lefty is in a world of hurting since he relies on a running
game and very little passign to usually win games, that is all good when you
have a QB to back you up. Teams will just sit on the run all day is m,y guess
and make it a long season on offense.On defense his team is maybe a tad above
average at best, he has a 50 and a 56 MS LB and the secondary has only 1 56 INT
guy or higher. Although Lefty has had success in other leagues I see him gettind
frustrated early and often in this one.

BUCCANEERS-
AHAKE21 takes over the BUCS as the new owner and hopes to turn things around for
this franchise but will be tough to do! His offense going into this season has a
great QB in John Elway(19MS,56PS,56PC), a great RB Ericct Rhett(50RS,50MS) and
WR's that have 63,50,50 as RECS. Looks like a great offense but will his skill
level prove to be the downfall for these stars, only time will tell and wish him
the best of luck! Defense is WHERE this team will lose most of their games, I
looka t the secondary most of all wher ehe has 4 guys that have 44,38,38,38 for
INTS, that alone will make it tough to win a few games this season. Long
dissapointing season indeed for this franchise again(2-11)
FALCONS-
TDO the long time owner of this franchise looks to improve on their 4-9 mark of
a year ago but I think he will fall short of that goal with this squad he puts
out on the field.His offense is just terrible with the likes of QB Jim
McMahon(38PS,56PC),all his RB's are 31 MS . The only bright spon offense is his
WR's who have 63,56,50 RECS. Defensive side does not really get any better with
having no 50 MS LB's and having a secondary with a 44 and a 38 INT guy in
it.This will easily be one of the longest season in CTL for TDO, he will be
fighting with the BUCS all season for last place.(2-11)
